Part of the Holy Week series, preached at a Good Friday service

A dilemma is: “A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives, especially equally undesirable ones.” Peter would have his own dilemma! Simon Peter would find himself between a rock and a hard place. First Denial: “You aren’t one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” she asked Peter. He replied, “I am not.” You see, it is easy to talk about Jesus when we are among believer’s. It is easy when we are among people of like mind! It is easy when we are at church to claim Jesus as Lord and Savior! It is easy when we call out to the Lord in prayer among receptive church members! But what happens when the atmosphere is not receptive? What happens when it may impact on your livelihood? It sometimes feels like you are between a “rock and a hard place!” Simon Peter would find himself between a rock and a hard place.
