"An Invitation to the Thirsty: Come!" (Isaiah 55:1-9, 1 Corinthians 10:1-13, Luke 13:1-9)

To be thirsty means having an uncomfortable feeling because you need something to drink - needing water, feeling a strong desire or need for something to quench your thirst. The exiles are summoned to return and be restored! They are both physically thirsty and spiritually thirsty. But spiritual thirst is primary. We they try to use things to fill the emptiness - the thirst - and nothing seems to do it. You know when you are thirst only water can quench it - not soda. In this Isaiah text, God invites you-us to "Come" and quench our spiritual and physical thirst.
