"A Plan vs. A Plot" (2 Samuel 11:1-15, John 6:1-21)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, July 29, 2018
Part of the Sunday series, preached at a Sunday service

A plot is “a plan made in secret by a group of people to do something illegal or harmful.” A plan is “a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something; a method for achieving an end.” King David had a plot—David committed adultery with Bathsheba. Jesus had a PLAN—Jesus fed the more than 5,000 people with 5 loaves and two fish. Scripture tells us: “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; If you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the LORD” (Jeremiah 29:11-13).
