Hope is the state of mind that believes and desires a positive outcome to situations in your life. It is the feeling that things will turn out for the best. It is consistently looking forward to that positive outcome to something planned in our life. But in the Bible hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness. The question may be asked; “How in the world can we hold on to hope — without wavering — in a world like the one we live in today?” It’s a question I’ve found myself asking (and one a lot of my friends have been asking) lately. Both Job and Bartimaeus faced dire challenges; yet the continued to hope in God.
