"Softly and Tenderly Jesus Calls Us!" (Revelation 1:4-8, John 20:19-31)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, April 28, 2019
Part of the Sunday series, preached at a Sunday service

The songwriter penned, “Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me. See all the portholes He's waiting and watching, watching for you and for me. Come home, come home, you who are weary come home. Earnestly, tenderly Jesus is calling, calling all sinners, come home.” The resurrected Jesus was waiting for Thomas to come home. And so, “Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, "Peace to you." Then he focused his attention on Thomas.” Jesus continues to call all of us to “Come home!”
