“A Receiving Heart” (Acts 16:9-15, John 14:23-29)

Part of the Sunday series, preached at a Sunday service

When Dante, the Italian poet, knocked at the door of the Franciscan monastery at Lunigiana he was asked, "What do you want?" He replied, "Peace!" Jesus told his disciples, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” And how do we receive this Peace that Christ offers us? I would like to submit to you that we must have “A Receiving Heart.” Today I would like to look at Lydia from Acts 16:9-15.
