"No Need To Be In Darkness!" (Ephesians 1:3-14, John 1:1-18)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, January 5, 2020
Part of the Sunday after Epiphany series, preached at a Sunday service

As we read John 1:1-18, we notice repeated words and themes such as word, life, light, darkness, believe, know, "his own," fullness, and bosom. These are all words and themes that you will find repeated in John. Notice that at the beginning of his Gospel, John is making a powerful statement concerning life and light, and he links the two. He says, "In the beginning was the Word."
"The Word" is a title for Christ.
