"Moved with Compassion" (Romans 9:1-5, Matthew 14:13-21)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, August 2, 2020
Part of the Pentecost series, preached at a Pentecost service

Compassion is the sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. To have compassion means to empathize with someone who is suffering and to feel compelled to reduce the suffering.
It's a fuller, truer definition than feelings alone, and it's a very biblical understanding. “14When he (Jesus) went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them and cured their sick.”
