"Knowing Jesus" (Romans 12:1-8, Matthew 16:13-20)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, August 23, 2020
Part of the Pentecost series, preached at a Pentecost service

Jesus asked the question. “‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’ In that region many of the citizens were worshippers of many pagan gods. 14And they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ They began to tell Jesus what others said about him because he asked the question of then. Now Jesus turn it back on them and asked them: 15Them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ 16Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.’”
