King Solomon knew well that the people would sin against God - do evil things, King Solomon himself would sin against God. And so at the dedication of the temple that King David could not build because he had sinned against God, King Solomon in his dedication prayer would ask God if they repent with all their heart and soul, then hear from heaven your dwelling - place their prayer and their pleas, maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
"Rising to the Occasion" in prayer is the best that we can do! The question for us today is, how will we "Rise to the Occasion" when Jesus calls us to do something out of our comfort zone.
