Christians understand that the identity of the shepherd is everything. It is wonderful to be able to say, "The Lord is my shepherd." There are “Bad Shepherd” and “Good Shepherd. In Ezekiel we read, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
