"Worship While Waiting" (Acts 1:1-11, Luke 24:44-53)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, May 16, 2021
Part of the Easter Season series, preached at a Easter Season service

“Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; and they were continually in the temple blessing God.” (Luke 24:50-53) While waiting they worshipped and blessed God!
How many days did they have to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit? Forty days from the resurrection to the ascension; ten days from the ascension to Pentecost.
