"Lord, Don't You Care?" (2 Corinthians 6:1-13, Mark 4:35-41)

Rev. Dr. Marjorie E. NunesRev. Dr. Marjorie E. Nunes, June 24, 2018
Part of the Sunday series, preached at a Sunday service

Charles Tindley penned, “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me. When the storms of life are raging, stand by me. When the world is tossing me like a ship upon the sea, Thou Who rulest wind and water, stand by me.” You see Storms-Life Storms are usually: unexpected, unpredictable and debilitating. The Sea of Galilee is situated in a basin surrounded by mountains, the Sea of Galilee is particularly susceptible to sudden, violent storms. Cool air from the Mediterranean is drawn down through the narrow mountain passes and clashes with the hot, humid air lying over the lake. Thus, the disciple should have been prepared – they knew the area well! They were fishermen! But Storms can arise even when we know the area well.
